PENSACOLA, Florida, Sept. 3 -- The University of West Florida, a component of public state university system in Florida, issued the following news release:

University officials are monitoring Tropical Storm Gordon. All UWF locations will be closed on Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2018, effective midnight tonight. This includes all classes, events, campus activities and online courses.
