Gov. Snyder Signs Legislation to Better Protect Bicyclists on Roadways

LANSING, Michigan, June 29 -- Gov. Rick Snyder, R-Michigan, issued the following news release:

Michigan drivers will now be required to leave at least 3 feet of space while passing bicyclists on the road under legislation signed today by Gov. Rick Snyder.

"Many Michiganders enjoy activities like bicycling, but these activities can leave them vulnerable to vehicles sharing the road," Snyder said. "Drivers must exercise caution and maintain awareness around . . .
