UTICA, New York, June 29 -- Utica College issued the following news release:
There is a serious shortage of special education teachers in the U.S., where 49 out of 50 states have reported shortages. According to the National Coalition on Personnel Shortages in Special Education and Related Services, more than half of all school districts have difficulty recruiting qualified teachers to more than six million children requiring special education in the U.S.
