WASHINGTON, June 28 -- The office of Sen. Lamar Alexander, R-Tennessee, issued the following news release:

United States Senator Lamar Alexander (R-Tenn.) today said "the Senate is on track to provide the fourth straight year of record funding in a regular appropriations bill for biomedical research at the National Institutes of Health."
