PORTLAND, Oregon, June 28 -- The Center for Biological Diversity issued the following news release:
The city of Cottage Grove passed a resolution last night in support of the Taylor's checkerspot, an endangered butterfly whose habitat has been curtailed by 99 percent as prairie grasslands are converted for agriculture and urban development.
