Four in 10 Russians Confident in Honesty of Their Elections

WASHINGTON, March 16 -- Gallup, a research-based, global performance-management consulting company, issued the following news:

Headed into a presidential election on Sunday in which the winner is a foregone conclusion, Russians' confidence in the honesty of their own elections reached a high of 40 percent in 2017. Russians' confidence in their elections, as well as their approval ratings of incumbent President Vladimir Putin, are both considerably higher now than they were in 2012, . . .
