SACRAMENTO, California, March 16 -- The California State Board of Education issued the following news release:

State Superintendent Tom Torlakson announced today that $2 million in federal assistance is now available to help school districts affected by the devastating October 2017 wildfires in Butte, Lake, Mendocino, Napa, Nevada, Orange, Sonoma, and Yuba counties.
