Credit Agricole CIB, IFC Finalize $2 Billion 'Synthetic Risk Transfer', Boosting Emerging Markets Lending

WASHINGTON, March 15 -- The International Finance Corp., a member of the World Bank Group, issued the following news release:

IFC, a member of the World Bank Group, and Credit Agricole CIB today announced an innovative transaction that will allow the Bank to expand its trade finance activities, and lend an additional $510 million to support health, education and other key services, as well as infrastructure projects, in emerging markets.
