SYRACUSE, N.Y., Dec. 10 -- National Grid issued the following news release:
National Grid made significant progress in restoring power to more than 30,000 homes and businesses impacted by power outages caused by heavy winds sustained yesterday throughout the southwestern and northern part of New York State. As forecasts call for continued high winds and significant snow fall today and tomorrow, especially near the shores of Lake Erie and Lake Ontario, National Grid crews continue . . .
