STORM LAKE, Iowa, Oct. 11 -- Buena Vista University issued the following news release:
Eric Bertelsen (Polk City, Iowa/North Polk) hauled in a seven-yard touchdown catch with 1:54 remaining in the contest to help lift the Buena Vista football team to a thrilling 23-20 victory at Loras College on Saturday afternoon. The win leaves BVU as the only team in the Iowa Conference without a loss in conference play this season.
