GOLDEN, Colorado, March 14 -- Jefferson County issued the following news: In fiscal year (FY) 2017, the economic impact of the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE's) National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) amounted to more than $1.1 billion nationwide, according to a study by the University of Colorado Boulder's Leeds School of Business.
