Rep. Herrera-Beutler Introduces Bill on High-Hazard Flammable Unit Trains
WASHINGTON, Oct. 22 -- Rep. Jaime Herrera-Beutler, R-Wash., has introduced legislation (H.R. 7076) to "reinstate requirements pertaining to electronically controlled pneumatic brake systems on high- hazard flammable unit trains." The bill was introduced on Oct. 19. It was referred to the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee. Rep. Kuster Introduces Bill to Provide Medication-Assisted Treatment
WASHINGTON, Oct. 22 -- Rep. Ann Kuster, D-N.H., has introduced legislation (H.R. 7079) to "authorize the Attorney General to make grants to, and enter into cooperative agreements with, States and units of local government to develop, implement, or expand a program to provide medication-assisted treatment, from arrest to release, to individuals incarcerated in the jurisdiction who are addicted to opioids." The bill was introduced on Oct. 19 and was co-sponsored by Reps. Jackie Walorski, R-Ind.,   more
