WASHINGTON, March 23 (TNSFR) -- The Federal Reserve System has announced that several individuals and trusts have applied to acquire or retain voting shares in Merchants Bancorp, a bank holding company based in Carmel, Indiana, and its subsidiary, Merchants Bank of Indiana. The applications were submitted under the Change in Bank Control Act, which requires the Federal Reserve to evaluate such transactions based on financial stability, competition, and the interests of depositors and the public.  more
