Army Corps of Engineers to Repatriate Human Remains From Historic Fort Wayne in Detroit
WASHINGTON, March 19 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Detroit District, has announced its intent to repatriate the remains of a Native American individual discovered on federal land near historic Fort Wayne in Detroit, Michigan.
This action is being carried out in accordance with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA) to ensure the remains are returned to the appropriate tribal descendants.
