Maine PUC Upholds 'Holdback Requirement' for Solar Facilities in Net Energy Billing Program
AUGUSTA, Maine, Feb. 15 -- The Maine Public Utilities Commission (PUC) has denied Nexamp Inc.'s petition for reconsideration and modification of a previous order concerning the company's Holden Solar Facility. The February 14, 2025, order reaffirms the PUC's "holdback requirement" for renewable energy facilities participating in Maine's Net Energy Billing (NEB) program.
