Maine PUC Approves Rate Increase for New Sharon Water District
AUGUSTA, Maine, Jan. 16 -- The Maine Public Utilities Commission (PUC) has approved a rate increase for the New Sharon Water District. The increase, amounting to approximately 64%, will generate an additional $40,832 in revenue.

AUGUSTA, Maine, Jan. 16 -- The Maine Public Utilities Commission (PUC) has approved an amended lease and special rate contract between the Rumford Water District and BlueTriton Brands, Inc.
The order, issued on January 15, 2025, allows the District to lease additional property to BlueTriton for water extraction and authorizes an increase in the volume of water that BlueTriton can withdraw.
