ASMFC Releases Recreational Measures Setting Process Draft Addenda for Public Comment
ARLINGTON, Virginia, Dec. 7 -- The Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission issued the following news release:
The Commission releases for public comment Draft Addenda on Recreational Measures Setting Process for Bluefish, Summer Flounder, Scup, and Black Sea Bass. The states of Maine through North Carolina have scheduled hearings to gather public input on the Draft Addenda between January 14 and January 29, 2025, and written comments will be accepted through February 15, 2025.

Natural Resources Council of Maine: State Finalizes Nation-Leading EPR for Packaging Program
AUGUSTA, Maine, Dec. 6 -- The Natural Resources Council of Maine issued the following news release on Dec. 5, 2024:
The Maine Board of Environmental Protection today finalized rules for a first-in-the-nation Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) for Packaging law that will save taxpayers money and improve recycling by holding corporations accountable for the wasteful packaging they produce.
