NMSU Professor Receives NASA, NSF Grants to Inspire Student Researchers
LAS CRUCES, New Mexico, Nov. 26 (TNSres) -- New Mexico State University issued the following news release:
New Mexico State University astronomy assistant professor Juie Shetye is inviting students to study secrets of the sun and causes of climate change through two grants of nearly $800,000 combined.
The awards allow Shetye to hire both undergraduate and graduate students to conduct research on two projects: one related to the sun's corona holes, the other about the causes of weather changes

Weber State Student Developing App to Provide Better Care for Navajo Patients
OGDEN, Utah, Nov. 26 -- Weber State University issued the following news:
While completing her clinical hours at the Northern Navajo Medical Center in Shiprock, New Mexico, Weber State University radiography student Kendra Ellison observed elderly patients facing a language barrier while seeking care.
"I noticed there weren't many Navajo translators," she said.
At times, politely asking elderly patients to "sit still for a moment" or "please lie down" became a difficult task for caregivers as
