House Ways & Means Committee Issues Report on Educational Choice for Children Act
WASHINGTON, Nov. 16 -- The House Ways and Means Committee issued a report (H.Rpt. 118-707) on the Educational Choice for Children Act (H.R. 9462), which aims to amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to allow a credit against tax for charitable donations to nonprofit organizations providing education scholarships to qualified elementary and secondary students. The report was advanced by Rep. Jason Smith, R-Missouri, on Oct. 4, 2024.
