WASHINGTON, Nov. 9 -- The U.S. Department of Justice issued the following news release on Nov. 8, 2024:
The Justice Department filed a lawsuit today against the Mississippi State Senate for discriminating against a Black former staff attorney in its Legislative Services Office (LSO). An indictment was unsealed today in the Southern District of Mississippi charging Hinds County District Attorney, Jody E.
