Justice Dept.: Former Louisiana Sheriff's Deputy Sentenced for Civil Rights Violation for Using Excessive Force Against Detainee
WASHINGTON, Oct. 17 -- The U.S. Department of Justice issued the following news release on Oct. 16, 2024: A former Louisiana sheriff's office deputy was sentenced yesterday to 37 months in prison for assaulting a pretrial detainee.
