WASHINGTON, Oct. 8 -- The U.S. Department of the Interior's National Park Service issued the following news release on Oct. 7, 2024: VOYAGEURS NATIONAL PARK, Minn. -- The National Park Service Ranger who died Sunday in the line of duty in Voyageurs National Park was a dedicated law enforcement officer, emergency services volunteer, member of the community, and beloved husband and friend.
