WASHINGTON, Oct. 5 -- Rep. Nancy Mace, R-South Carolina, issued the following news release on Oct. 4, 2024:
Congresswoman Nancy Mace introduced a new bill today to end FEMA's Shelter and Services Program (SSP), slamming the program as a wasteful misuse of taxpayer dollars. The bill will redirect all unspent funds from the SSP to help Americans recover from natural disasters.
