LAKEWOOD, Colorado, Sept. 21 -- The U.S. Department of Agriculture's National Agricultural Statistics Service - Colorado Field Office issued the following news release: COLORADO The number of cattle and calves on feed for the slaughter market in Colorado feedlots with a capacity of 1,000 head or larger was estimated at 970,000 head as of September 1, 2024.
