Bernalillo County: Forgotten Heroes Honored With Memorial, Funeral, Military Burial
ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico, Sept. 20 -- Bernalillo County issued the following news release on Sept. 19, 2024: The cremains of 42 military veterans were laid to rest today through New Mexico's Forgotten Heroes Funeral Program. It provides a military funeral for honorably discharged veterans who, upon death, are unclaimed by family or friends for interment.
