Ariz. U.S. Attorney: Tucson Man Indicted for Second-Degree Murder
TUCSON, Arizona, Sept. 13 -- The office of the U.S. Attorney for the District of Arizona issued the following news release:
Last week, a federal grand jury indicted Matthew Leyvas, 28, of Tucson, on one count of Second-Degree Murder. Leyvas is an enrolled member of the Pascua Yaqui Tribe.
The indictment alleges that, on August 8, 2024, Leyvas stabbed the victim multiple times. The victim was promptly transported to Banner University Medical Center but was pronounced dead shortly after arriving
