A groundbreaking ceremony was held at the Airlift/Tanker Association Walk of Fame, Aug 28, 2024. The event was centered around the commencement of the construction for a new Operation Allies Refuge monument, joining a piece from the Berlin Wall, the 9/11 memorial and memorial busts.

NRC Names New Resident Inspector at Byron Nuclear Plant
WASHINGTON, Sept. 5 -- The Nuclear Regulatory Commission issued the following news release on Sept. 4, 2024:
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission has selected Noah Bolling as its new resident inspector at the Byron nuclear power plant in Byron, Illinois. He joins Senior Resident Inspector Ashley Demeter at the plant, operated by Constellation Energy Generation Co.
