Disaster Assistance for Survivors of April Storms Tops $6 Million
WASHINGTON, July 30 -- The U.S. Department of Homeland Security Federal Emergency Management Agency issued the following news release:

CHARLESTON, W.Va. More than $6 million has been approved for homeowners and renters in West Virginia after the severe storms, straight-line winds, tornadoes, flooding, landslides and mudslides of April 2-6, 2024.
Federal disaster assistance is available to residents of 11 counties: Boone, Cabell, Fayette, Kanawha, Lincoln, Marshall, Nicholas, Ohi

W.Va. U.S. Attorney: Twenty-Five Charged With Drug Trafficking in Eastern Panhandle
MARTINSBURG, West Virginia, July 31 -- The office of the U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of West Virginia issued the following news release:
Two drug trafficking organizations, including one with ties to the Sinaloa Drug Cartel, have been dismantled after a federal grand jury indicted twenty-five people.
