Gallego Announces $400 Million in CHIPS Act Funding Coming to Peoria
WASHINGTON, July 26 -- Rep. Ruben Gallego, D-Arizona, issued the following news release:
PHOENIX Today, Rep. Ruben Gallego (AZ-03), announced that U.S. Department of Commerce and Amkor Technology, Inc. have signed a non-binding preliminary memorandum of terms (PMT) to provide up to $400 million in funding under the CHIPS and Science Act. This funding would support Amkor's investment of approximately $2 billion and 2,000 jobs in Peoria, Arizona.
