COLUMBIA, South Carolina, July 20 -- South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson issued the following news on July 19, 2024:
South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson today joined a 22-state amicus brief in support of Florida's request to the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals to allow the state to enforce its law regulating sex-modification procedures while the district court's order enjoining the law is heard on appeal. The case is Doe v. Surgeon General, State of Florida.
