Choctaw Cultural Center, French Museum Partner Again
DURANT, Oklahoma, July 2 -- The Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma issued the following news on July 1, 2024:
The successful collaboration of art and history between two nations, France and the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma has led to the creation of the new exhibit "Okhvta Chito Okhoatali: Choctaw and French Transatlantic Legacies." It will premiere at the Choctaw Cultural Center on Saturday, July 6.

BRISTOL, Connecticut, July 2 -- SEC Network, a part of ESPN, issued the following news release on July 1, 2024:
SEC Network will debut a new version of GRAMMY(R) winning American Idol Taylor Hicks' "Call Paul" theme song for The Paul Finebaum Show. The new version includes the Oklahoma Sooners and Texas Longhorns as both teams officially join the Southeastern Conference today.

Townley to File Bill Updating Procedures for Tied Elections
OKLAHOMA CITY, Oklahoma, July 2 -- The Oklahoma House issued the following news release on July 1, 2024:
Rep. Tammy Townley, R-Ardmore, today announced her intention to file a bill next session updating election procedures in the event of a tied election.
Townley represents House District 48, which includes Carter County. She said the bill was inspired by the outcome of the June 18 primary election for Carter County Sheriff. A recount on June 28 confirmed both candidates received 2,569 votes.
