PAUL, Minnesota, June 22 -- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers-St. Paul District issued the following news release: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, is conducting dredging operations at their Above Brownsville Placement site, also known as "Crater Island," within Pool 8, of the Mississippi River, near Brownsville, Minnesota. PAUL, Minnesota, June 22 -- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers-St. Paul District issued the following news release: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, is seeking public comments on its draft plan to protect the Sny Magill-Effigy Mounds, near Guttenberg, Iowa, along the Mississippi River. USGS Measures Flooding Across Eastern Minnesota
WASHINGTON, June 20 -- The U.S. Department of the Interior's U.S. Geological Survey issued the following news release: U.S. Geological Survey field crews are measuring flooding across eastern Minnesota, including parts of the Lake Superior and Rainy River Basins.
