Rep. Miller-Meeks Honors Army Birthday, Votes to Give Troops Raise
WASHINGTON, June 15 -- Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks, R-Iowa, issued the following news release on June 14, 2024:
Today, Congresswoman Mariannette Miller-Meeks (IA-01) celebrated the 249th birthday of the United States Army on the House Floor. Shortly after, Rep. Miller-Meeks voted in favor of H.R. 8070, the Servicemember Quality of Life Improvement and National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2025, which passed the House and provides the troops with a historic pay raise.
