PEN America: Free Speech Organizations Criticize Florida Colleges and Universities' Response to Student Protests
NEW YORK, May 4 -- PEN America issued the following news release:
A coalition of seven Florida and national organizations that support and advocate for free speech delivered a letter to Florida college and university presidents today expressing concern over the "unnecessary use of force by law enforcement and encroachments on First Amendment rights" in response to largely peaceful student protests over the war in Gaza.
