ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico, April 12 -- The office of the U.S. Attorney for the District of New Mexico issued the following news release on April 11, 2024:
A federal grand jury returned an indictment yesterday charging Jaremy Smith with the murder of New Mexico State Police Officer Justin Hare. Smith, 33, of South Carolina, is scheduled to be arraigned on the charges April 18, 2024.
