Duke Energy Supports First Responders With $500,000 in Grant Opportunities for Emergency Preparedness in South Carolina
GREENVILLE, South Carolina, Feb. 28 -- Duke Energy issued the following news release:
The Duke Energy Foundation is launching the third year of its $500,000 microgrant program to invest in emergency preparedness organizations across South Carolina to increase their resiliency to major weather events through advanced preparation, planning, equipment and training.

Winthrop University: Jackie McFadden Named as Dacus Library Dean
ROCK HILL, South Carolina, Feb. 28 -- Winthrop University issued the following news:
Jackie McFadden, the interim dean of Winthrop University's Ida Jane Dacus Library and Louise Pettus Archives and Special Collections, will assume the permanent dean's position on March 1.
Provost Sebastian van Delden announced McFadden's selection this week.
