The FDIC has announced a series of steps intended to provide regulatory relief to financial institutions and facilitate recovery in areas of Rhode Island affected by severe storms, flooding, and tornadoes.
Statement of Applicability: The contents of, and material referenced in, this FIL apply to all FDIC-supervised financial institutions.

NUWC Division Newport employees guide STEM learning by judging science fairs
WASHINGTON, Jan. 18 -- The Naval Sea Systems Command issued the following news:
NEWPORT, R.I, -
Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Division Newport scientists, engineers and other employees helped judge two recent science fairs at Rhode Island high schools. The student projects touched on many scientific areas at Portsmouth High School on Jan. 10 and at South Kingstown High School on Jan. 11, and the best of these entries will advance to a statewide competition in March.

R.I. U.S. Attorney's Office Collects Nearly Seven Million Dollars in Civil and Criminal Actions in Fiscal Year 2023
PROVIDENCE, Rhode Island, Jan. 20 -- The office of the U.S. Attorney for the District of Rhode Island issued the following news release on Jan. 19, 2024:
U.S. Attorney Zachary A. Cunha announced today that the District of Rhode Island collected $6,952,328.06 in criminal and civil actions in Fiscal Year 2023. Of this amount, $3,275,794.48 was collected in criminal actions and $3,676,533.58 was collected in civil actions.
