CPSC Commissioner Feldman Issues Statement on Flocked Toys
BETHESDA, Maryland, May 7 -- The Consumer Product Safety Commission issued the following statement by Commissioner Peter A. Feldman on flocked toys: * * * The U.S. District Court of New Mexico last week concluded that undersized flocked toys and their accessories are banned hazardous substances as matter of law./1 In reaching its conclusion, the court relied on CPSC's own regulation and precedents which support a per se violation.
