LANSING, Mich., Aug. 22 -- Gov. Rick Snyder, R-Mich., issued the following proclamation:
WHEREAS, meningococcal disease is a serious illness which can lead to meningitis (infection of the lining of the brain and spinal cord) and infections of the blood, and is spread from person to person through close contact; and,
WHEREAS, meningococcal disease kills 10 to 15 infected people out of 100 and for those who survive, many will suffer disabilities such as hearing loss, brai . . .
