MATTESON, Ill., Feb. 23 -- Rep. Robin Kelly, D-Ill., issued the following statement after President Trump's decision to revoke guidance protecting transgender students:
"No student should go to school and face discrimination because of who they are. All children have a right to a quality, fear-free education.
The Administration's move to strip away the rights of transgender students is regressive, born in a spirit of division, and blatantly discriminatory.
