IRVING, Texas, May 1 -- The Big 12 Conference, a college athletic conference, issued the following news:
Texas' Katie Stewart (Player) and Oklahoma's Kierston Deal (Pitcher) earned Conference softball honors for the 12th week of the season. Stewart was also named the Louisville Slugger/NFCA DI Player of the Week, the seventh time that a league player has collected the honor this season.
Stewart led the Big 12 in batting average (.727), hits (8), home runs (3), RBIs (11) . . .
