BOSTON, Massachusetts, April 25 -- The office of the U.S. Attorney for the District of Massachusetts issued the following news release on April 24, 2024:

A former Fall River Police Officer was sentenced today for assaulting a man in custody with a baton and failing to report the assault in subsequent reports.
