INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana, April 25 -- The Indiana Senate Democrats issued the following statement on behalf of Indiana State Sen. La Keisha Jackson, D-Indianapolis:

Today Senator La Keisha Jackson (D-Indianapolis) was sworn into the Indiana State Senate. She succeeds the late Senator Jean Breaux in representing Senate District 34. Senator Jackson released the following statement:
