NRC Makes Available Browns Ferry's Subsequent License Renewal Application

WASHINGTON, Feb. 2 -- The Nuclear Regulatory Commission issued the following news release:
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission has received a subsequent license renewal application from the Tennessee Valley Authority, which requests an additional 20 years of operation for all three reactors at the Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant in Athens, Alabama. The application to renew the reactor licenses from 60 to 80 years is now available for public inspection on the NRC website.
