LOUGHBOROUGH, England, Aug. 16 -- Loughborough University issued the following news release:

Scientists have analysed hundreds of thousands of tweets related to the 2012 superstorm Hurricane Sandy to measure the impact of large-scale disasters on people's mental health.

The devastating event, which brought panic and destruction to eight countries in the Caribbean and North America, killed 233 people and cost an estimated $75 billion of damage.
