NEW YORK, Feb. 22 -- The Columbia Law School issued the following news release:
The U.S. Supreme Court ruled (6-2) today that Texas death row inmate Duane Buck was unjustly denied a sentencing appeal by the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals, taking into consideration powerful statistical research conducted for the defense last year by Columbia Law School students Rachel M. Wagner '17 and Andrew J. Simpson '16.
