Pediatric ACL Injuries Continue to Rise Steadily

ELK GROVE VILLAGE, Ill., Feb. 22 -- The American Academy of Pediatrics issued the following news release:
A study in the March 2017 issue of Pediatrics, "ACL Tears in School-Aged Children and Adolescents Over 20 Years," (published online Feb. 22) is the first study to show the incidence of anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tears in pediatric patients (ages 6-18 years) has significantly and steadily increased by about 2.3 percent annually over the past 20 years.
