RICHMOND, Va., Aug. 26 -- The Virginia Republican Party issued the following statement by Chairman John Whitbeck:
"Anytime Virginia's budget has any sort of shortfall, Democrats call for the Commonwealth to expand Obamacare. That sort of magical thinking might look good on paper, but it ignores the history and fundamental reality of even the most well-intentioned programs. Just this month we learned that the costs of expansion are some 50 percent more than projected."
