TALLAHASSEE, Fla., May 20 -- The Florida Department of Education issued the following statement by Education Commissioner Dr. Eric J. Smith:
"I want to congratulate the teachers, students and leadership in the Miami-Dade School District for their spectacular reading performance on the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) Trial Urban District Assessment (TUDA) project.
