PORTAGE, Alaska, Feb. 22 -- The Alaska Department of Public Safety issued the following news release:
After spending most of the daylight hours looking for an Anchorage man lost in an avalanche a week ago, weather conditions look favorable to pick up the search again tomorrow. Eight teams, for a total of about 30 people and two dogs, were on scene for approximately six hours today looking for Alan Gage, who was buried in an avalanche in the Grandview area on Feb. 13.
